The objective of Kilkenny Borough Council's Traffic Service is to provide for the movement of traffic within the City in a safe and efficient manner.
One of the main responsibilities of the Traffic Department is control of Parking which involves the control of on-street parking and off-street parking and currently the management of 4 no. barrier operated car parks.
The Traffic Section of Kilkenny Borough Council processes all traffic fines.
A Traffic Fine is currently €40.00. On receipt of a traffic fine a person has 21 days to pay.
The Traffic Office is open Monday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. at City Hall, High Street, Kilkenny.
The following three full-time Traffic Wardens are employed by Kilkenny Borough Council: John Dunphy Ann O'Dea Tom Brannigan.
