FOR THE ATTENTION OF ALL
AGENTS/MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC WHO WISH TO APPLY FOR PLANNING PERMISSION
Under Article 18 of the Planning & Development Regulations 2001-2007, minor changes have been introduced that affect the wording which must be contained within a Newspaper Notice.
Please note that the following wording must be contained (in addition to other relevant details outlined under Article 18) within the public newspaper notice for all applications lodged under the Planning & Development Act 2000-2002 & Regulation 2001-2007 with the exception of advertisements of significant further information/revised plans as outlined under Article 35 :-
'the planning application may be inspected, or purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, at the offices of the Planning Department, Kilkenny Borough Council, City Hall, High Street, Kilkenny, during its public opening hours 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, and a submission or observation in relation to the application may be made to the Planning Authority in writing on payment of the prescribed fee (€20.00) within the period of 5 weeks beginning on the date of receipt by the Authority of the planning application'.
Please note also that the wording on the public Site Notice has been altered to reflect the above standard wording.
